<p>Just wondering about the grading at the end of freshman year . Do some professors grade harder than others ?</p>
<p>That really depends on the school, major, and grade curving. The latter also depends on the class and the students who are in the class. From how my kids explained it… all it takes is a couple of very bright kids to kill the curve. As far as majors go take for example engineering, the typical freshman engineering student will have a lower GPA than some other majors. There really is no typical because of the variables. As for the school itself some schools may appear to have a overall higher grades than others. I tend to believe that grades are really based on who is in that particular class that semester.</p>
<p>Yes of course some profs grade differently than others, and some courses and majors have different norms than others too. </p>
