In an McLean Youth Orchestra chamber concert last February, Joey, a ten-year-old genius solo violinist, played Zigeunerweisen. It is a difficult piece even for grown-ups, yet he played so effortlessly. His bow danced on the strings. This reminded me that true brilliance comes out with enjoyment, not drive for success.

What makes me mad is that I DIDN’T do this last minute. I spent so much time editing it, and in that process, changed one thing without changing another.

Can you guys find the typo? (I’m leaving it for y’all’s guess for now haha)

I’m not being sarcastic, it kind of throws off the flow of the essay. I spent the rest of the time reading the essay looking for other grammar mistakes rather than focusing on the content as much.

well, I was thinking of this to be more humor-related, just laughing at my mistake…I didn’t expect pp to give devilish criticisms. like there’s nothing I can’t do about the mistake, why would I be asking for opinions…

I had a typo in one of my essays (“who” instead of “whom”) and was admitted last year. They’ll overlook minor errors like that. They care far more about getting to know you as a human being than about making a big deal about typos.

If you get rejected, it won’t be because of your typo.

Seriously though why ask expecting a humorous response and then get defensive someone says they’re being serious? I don’t think the typo is a huge deal, but cmon Absoluteness.

yeah sorry guys I got defensive and immature because I was scared of being rejected because of a stupid mistake and y’all were honestly and completely freaking me out. :)

I think after you hit the submit button it is time to go outside and throw a frisbee or something. No use second guessing yourself and freaking yourself out.
