U.C. Berkeley Off-Campus Housing

Hello,

Who here will be living off-campus? If so, have you found a place and roommates yet?

yep :D

I’m moving in tomorrow.

But i’m doing summer session… it might be a bit early still for those starting in the fall.

I’m still up in the air–I’m hoping for a co-op but I also put in an app for Wada (They’re hella nice, I got to see them at transfer weekend) and I’m also looking for off campus housing. Gotta keep my options open!

I got some interesting info from the Transfer weekend from talking to some of the students that I’ll share because I found it really helpful in looking for off campus housing:

The South side has a more student type feel, the apartments are older and cheaper but it’s near telegraph and the dorms.
Downtown is more expensive and a bit farther, but its closer to the bart and the bars and the apartments are nicer.
The North side is a bit quieter and more of a walk unless you’re in psych because it’s right by Tolman.

Wait, did I just say “hella” OMG, I so belong in the Bay Area :P
