U Chicago EA

I’m a Singaporean who graduated in 2006 and am considering whether to apply EA to U Chicago. Will my application be treated any differently from a regular application?

Yes; they’re going to look at your application with respect to Singapore. For example, the number of extracurricular activities of applicants in the US wouldn’t be expected to be the same as that of applicants in another part of the world. It won’t mean that you have less chance of getting in, though.

i see. i’m also wondering, if i apply EA in november, will it be different from applying in the regular cycle in january?

The only difference for international students to apply for EA in UChicago is financial aid. If you are not gonna apply for financial aid, then there is no difference for you to apply under EA or RD.
