My daughter applied EA and was admitted today. It’s the very first school she toured and one she would be happy to attend. We considered it more of a safety though and were a little disappointed there wasn’t a merit offer. Did we misjudge her qualifications or does merit come later? 1540 SAT, IB diploma candidate, 4.0 UW, OOS, solid EC’s and a couple big awards.
My kid was admitted as well with no merit and she also has strong stats. I think MD state schools do it later, so maybe expect something in mid to late January.

Did your kid apply for Honors College or any of the Scholars Programs? The Scholars programs have some separate scholarships.
She did apply for Honors College and is working on the Meyerhoff, so certainly not giving up yet.
My daughter is still waiting, we are OOS. She didn’t submit any scores
For anyone who comes later looking for information: DD was admitted on Wed, 12/11. Notified of Distinguished Scholarship (15k per year) on Friday 12/13.
