U of Chicago Fraternity Hazing

This news story very much surprised me. For some reason, I was under the impression that fraternities weren’t a “thing” at University of Chicago, and certainly not hazing at this level.

http://www.collegedata.com/cs/data/college/college_pg05_tmpl.jhtml?schoolId=327 indicates 8% of men participate in fraternities, so they are not that big a thing there (12% of women participate in sororities). However, the small presence does not preclude one of them hazing.
