<p>hey guys I was just wondering if you guys know if U of M counts grades form high school classes that were taken in middle school( I.E. Algebra 1, Geometry ,Algebra 2)

<p>Michigan, and all universities, are pretty clear on what grades they consider. Some will consider grades from 9-11 grade, others 10-11 grade. No university that I know of will consider grades from 7th or 8th grade.</p>
<p>I only know of the University of California system taking into account math classes taken in 7th and 8th grade. However, UCs don’t ask for grades from those middle school classes. I think because UMich is on the Common App, it only asks for and receives high school transcripts.</p>
<p>I think it would just depend on what middle school courses transfer over to the HS transcript. Our HS shows a one semester credit for the Algebra 1 class taken in MS which is included in the calculated GPA. Not sure if all schools do this consistently across the board.</p>
