<p>Hi, I’m a high school rising junior. I finished Calc BC last year and would like to dual enroll at U of M’s College of Literature, Science and the Arts (LSA). Does anyone know how difficult it is to get in as a non-degree student, and any prerequisites? Thanks.</p>
<p>You basically just have to show that you’ve taken all the classes in a subject that your school has to offer. It’s not all that difficult. The only hard part is as a non-degree student you can’t register until the first day of class, so it can be hard to schedule around. You can e-mail a prof ahead of time, explain the situation, and they might reserve a spot for you/give you an override into a section with an optimal time that fits with your HS schedule.</p>

<li>as dilksy said, you need to have finished the curriculum to the highest level at your high school; also, if you have taken AP Chem, but not AP Bio, they may not let you take Orgo, because you still have a science AP left at your school.</li>
<li>a decent GPA (I don’t know what that is)</li>

<p>These may be flexible, but when I was on the phone with the admissions officer, she read my file to me and accepted me, because of these 3 things. So, yeah, as dilksy says, it’s not difficult, because the actual application takes little to no work.</p>
<p>lobgent, where do you go to school? Huron had two students in Umich math last year, and Pioneer had a student in math and another in chem, so you may want to contact one of the students to see how to arrange this at your school–while the umich side is easy, it can seriously be a hassle working it out with your high school.</p>
<p>I was accepted for dual enrollment before taking the MEAPs, ACT, and SAT.</p>
<p>When I was on the phone with the officer, she told me that dual-enrollees must meet Honors standards, 32 / 1450; whether that was never true, was only with her, or is a new policy, I have no idea.</p>

<p>Which class were you thinking about taking, 215 (calc III), 285 (honors calc III), or 295 (theoretical/pure math for mathy people)? Which one you end up taking is likely going to be a combination of what you want to do and scheduling circumstances.</p>
<p>Also, not that it’ll matter for a long while, but since you’re commuting from the north you’ll most likely want to park at the Glazier Way commuter lot and take the U of M commuter southbound bus to campus.</p>
