U of M Transfer Questions

I am currently a sophomore at Kettering University but things are getting a little bit too expensive. Because of this, I am interested in transferring to U of M Ann Arbor. I currently have a 3.35 GPA and was involved in multiple extracurricular activities.

I’m afraid that my 3.35 GPA won’t look very good next to someone who went to a community college and got a 3.5 or better. Is strength of curriculum considered? Do they favor community colleges and U of M’s satellite campuses over other 4-year universities? Kettering is an engineering school, so naturally there aren’t as many English/History/Foreign-Language classes as required at U of M.

The minimum GPA for transfer students is a 3.0, however I will be applying to LSA for Computer Science. From what I understand LSA is very competitive when it comes to transfer students.

Any information would be very helpful!
