<p>Free to Good Homes: U. of Miami Law Grads</p>

<p>High-paying jobs for young lawyers are hard to come by these days, but the University of Miami’s School of Law plans to make sure that its recent graduates don’t lack for work.</p>
<p>Next month the school will roll out its Legal Corps Postgraduate Fellowship Program, which will provide an unlimited number of monthly stipends of $2,500 to recent Miami law graduates who have passed a state bar exam and who take unpaid posts in the government or nonprofit sectors.</p>

<p>Sounds like a great idea but I wish it could be for a minimum of a year. Six months barely gives the rookies a chance to get their feet wet, and they may have to spend much of that time hunting for a “real” job.</p>
