<p>A lot of colleges and universities are trying to cut their utility costs by generating their own energy. It looks like the University of Oklahoma is taking a new approach.</p>
<p>Hey Cur - he does back it up, though. Especially that first saturday in Oct . . . but maybe not so much in bowl games lately. Maybe they can get that straightened out this year.</p>
<p>Curmudgeon - them’s fightin’ words! Being an OU grad and an Okie native, I can attest to the fact that the wind blows all the time, so this sounds feasible.</p>
<p>over30, my best motorcycle riding buddy (maybe 30 multi-day trips together) and his siblings paid a few hundred thou’ to get their family name over some doorway at the revered stadium (or some football related facility, maybe the 24hr ATM ;)). I asked him what he was doing Saturday and he said “watching my team”. I told him I knew dang well it wasn’t a College Quiz Bowl team. He didn’t think that was too funny either. ;)</p>
