U of Tampa or High Point

We are from the same state, footballmom. I’m in Morgantown.

Hi-de-ho, neighbor! I thought HPU was kind of a Charleston rich kid thing. I guess it’s statewide.

My friend’s son graduated from University of Tampa…can’t recall his exact major I think marketing , but he was an average high school student. He had a pretty impressive internship with ESPN and landed a job from that…doing ok

High Point it frowned upon in our area. I have heard that it is sort of cultish in pulling the students in with the theme park atmosphere and free cookies. I have known two students that went there, both lasted a semester and transferred to more traditional schools

U of Tampa has made the Tampa newspaper with articles about off campus students hosting huge parties that disrupt their residential neighborhoods. Some mention of the school wanting to identify those students and impose school punishments, including the potential for expulsion. Sounds like a more typical nonrestrictive environment than High Point. Also UT is located in a major sized city with plenty to do. I would still really look at the most rigorous academics you can afford- why not get the most out of your educational dollar? Some lesser schools offer the most money to attract good students- but the peer group won’t necessarily be the same as elsewhere.

Of the three schools you mentioned, I would chose Seton Hall (followed by U of Tampa.)
