<p>I have had interviews with Brown, Harvard, Yale, and Columbia…not UPenn yet. Have any of you been contacted for an interview by UPenn yet?</p>
<p>we’ve all gotten in already. some of us have not been interviewed and it really made no difference (obviously). don’t worry about the interview because chances are it will not tip you one way or the other in regards to your decision.</p>
<p>Venkater, was that a joke about getting in already? are you talking about ED when you say that? i’m sorry the whole process makes me nervous so i can’t take jokes right now (well at least in type its had to get sarcasm). I haven’t been contacted for an interview yet for Penn either…</p>

<p>I got in ED. I am 100% sure there are kids who got in ED without interviews. I am 10000% sure that kids have gotten into Penn in the past without interviews. I know interviewers for other Ivys and they say not to stress interviews because they arent that important in the application process, but more to see the person behind the numbers so the college can try to not admit a jackass or liar. They are also a way for you to ask an alum about the college and hear something besides an adcom putting everything in the best light.</p>
<p>electron, i think what venkater meant was that the 2011 thread is generally for people who have already been accepted ED (hence the threads about groceries and bathrooms). the main penn forum is where most people ask admissions questions, application questions, and whether their chances for penn are completely ruined with a 4 on AP chemistry…</p>
