U Pitt Recommendation Letters

Is there any way that you can see your teacher’s recommendation letters on your application? I didn’t waive my rights to view them (if that helps)…lol

Once you are a student you can make a request to see your student records, including your admissions file and any letters that you did not waive rights to see. Those rights are accorded under FERPA and there may be state laws or institutional policy that give you additional rights.

Until you are a student at Pitt, though, you likely to do not have a right to see your records under FERPA. That doesn’t mean you can’t ask nor that the school can’t grant your request. It just means there’s no federal requirement for them to do so. Again, state law or institutional policy may give you additional rights.

In other words, just ask.

Thank You
I was just wondering…haha
