With ED decisions coming soon (hopefully), just wanted to start a thread for the class of 2030. If anyone hears any information on release dates, please feel free to update!
U of R sent us a mailing that if our son submitted his RD application by 12/1, he would receive an admissions decision early ( I think late Feb) as well as be considered for merit scholarships.
Is this the first year this was offered as an option? I don’t see it mentioned in last year’s threads.
Just curious when in Feb. we might hear.
Hi, we got the same email, and my son applied by 12/1 too. I’ve been checking the portal, but haven’t seen anything about when we might hear.
ED2 results were released today as per IG post. How did you all fare?
Was anyone accepted. Over on the Reddit, it seems like a lot of high stats kids were rejected.
Seemed to align with their financial need. I thought U of R was need-blind but seems to be need aware.
Feeling nervous for my kid. Was hoping it would be a target school.

I did some research and it appears that last year the pre-Dec 1 RD application decisions were released on Feb. 22.

Email was sent out stating RD decisions would be arriving in a few weeks. But no mention about the priority decision date.
Feb ends on 8 days so it’s gotta be soon, right?

Clearly I was wrong. Reddit says Feb 27, so we’ve got more days to wait.
hey so i applied after december 1st and i got the email asw so i dont think theres gonna be a difference on when they arrive? i think?
There was a priority scholarship deadline if you got the app in before Dec 1 that said that you would hear back in late February before RD. Given that the recent email said decisions would be a in a few weeks, I’m guessing the pre-Dec 1 will come out by Feb 28 and the RD will be some time in March.
People on Reddit are saying that if you log into your portal, you can see merit awards if you received one, even though decisions haven’t been released yet. Apparently there is a “Scholarship description” button in the portal that links to the merit scholarship notification.
People are now reporting that the scholarship letters and admitted student events buttons are now missing.
Seems like RD decisions are out as per IG post.
2/27, unexpected, but just got the good news at 5PM.
D26, Accepted, Merit Scholarship.

This is the priority application release (deadline December 1st for consideration for merit scholarship). I assume there is another release later.
Accepted!! Received merit scholarship- Did anyone receive the full fin aid package? Assume it’s coming later?
And Yes, I believe RD decisions for those who applied after 12/1 will be released in a couple of weeks.
