Hi. I’m writing this thread on behalf of my friend. She is Korean international student who is attending one of the best Korean arts high school as an acting major. Since she wants to broaden her studies in filmmaking and media studies, and for other reasons, she really wants to study abroad in the U.S. To introduce her as a friend perspective, she is really really good at acting, singing, and choereographing dances, and she works really hard. One really strong down side is, though, that her GPA is really low (she has 2.46 GPA on average). Is there any U.S. boarding schools that would accept her now for the 2025-2026 school year even though she has an extremely low gpa? She just want a school that has excellent theater program, decent academics, and good school-spirit. She promised me to study really hard if she sucessfully go to the U.S. high school and she is indeed studying english very intensively. I would be so grateful if you recommend any U.S. boarding schools that still accept applications, meet with the conditions that I mentioned, and that she would still have possibility of getting in with her gpa.
