So does everyone’s main portal have one of three statuses to cover admit, wl and deny? Reading through the thread I see: 1) Awaiting Decision, 2) Awaiting Decision Submitted, and 3) ???. Is there a Submitted Awaiting Decision? I think I saw someone mention it, but not sure.
i didnt…it let me back in using Vip ID

I have submitted and awaiting decision.
I have Awaiting Decision on the main portal and Decided on the backdoor portal.
Only two tabs (personal information and financial aid) on the my.sc.edu self service page.
If this thread is correct, it would seem my daughter is not admitted since she does not have the admission tab.
I called Admissions and they said the self service portal is not an indication as decisions have not yet been released. But it would seem logical that those who have the Admission tab will be admitted.

My daughter was admitted EA and hers looks like this. If I click the “Student” tab, then “Student Profile,” it says her “admit type” and “student type”. If you are waiting on a decision and have these tabs, click the student tab and see if it shows those fields.
Do you know if that’s in-state, OOS, everyone?
So I am seeing this… but I remember seeing something exactly like what you posted and I can’t seem to navigate right back into this view - I am hopeful I am right because all Isee here are two tabs - but it’s what I see with just my.sc.edu… I would appreciate any feedback
Did you claim your VIP ID? An email was sent last week (looks to be to the address on file with the FAFSA). The student then needed to follow a link to claim the ID.
This is what I see, and people above say if you don’t see other the tabs in this view your child didn’t get in… I’m hopeful they are still rolling out decisions in the site, and maybe ours will update. I’ll stay hopeful with you!!! Fingers crossed for good news.
yes I was able to get VIP id and login to the self service thing, however my only tab is the personal information tab so i don’t think i was admitted
That’s what I was afraid of - I remember before I DID see all the other tabs - so that’s why I asked - I have seen so many versions of similar things so I was hopeful maybe I was just not in the same view as before is all - thank you

Disappointing - my stats are well within the mid range too - was very hopeful for this one.

What confuses me is when I could see all the tabs like the one who showed the “admitted” it was via my.usc.edu/apps/XX. The one I have above is through banner.carolina..xxx as the web link… it would be great to see the weblink from the orgional poster’s screenshot
Just confirming that I understand the process. I need to have my son track down an email that was sent last week. When he does that, he will be able to claim a VIP ID? And then he logs in you will see three tabs if accepted?

Yes that is my understanding as well!
I guess if we never received an email about a VIP that we are definitely not accepted??
