Well my son comes home & says “whatever happens today IM NOT going to UofSC!” “If I get in I will be declining to give someone else a chance.” “My mind is made up I know where I’m going.” I ask “where”? He said we will all know in 2 weeks after his college merch is delivered! My head is spinning, full of happiness, nerves & now anticipation!!! I need to know lol ~ BEST OF LUCK TODAY Y’ALL!!!

Make sure you are looking at the email that was associated with your FAFSA submission (we found my students in a different email box than their day-to-day. Forgot we used the other when filling out FAFSA).

Lived this last year, went from EA deferral to RD waitlist……..DD was accepted about 2-3 weeks into accepted waitlist slot, unexpectedly in March. So I share this for those UofSC #1 choicers to not lose hope if you get waitlisted today. It’s painful and emotionally draining, we actually committed somewhere else initially. Good luck to all. DD is a very happy freshman at UofSC today!!

I have Awaiting Decision on the main portal and Decided on the backdoor portal.
Only two tabs (personal information and financial aid) on the my.sc.edu self service page.
If this thread is correct, it would seem my daughter is not admitted since she does not have the admission tab.
I called Admissions and they said the self service portal is not an indication as decisions have not yet been released. But it would seem logical that those who have the Admission tab will be admitted.
Heartbreaking process.
For the people that have the admission tab what happens when you click the enrollment deposit button or any of the other button attached to it. This could just be another “back door portal” situation.
Awaiting Decision Submitted on my D’s main portal and submitted on the backdoor portal. No admissions tab either. I’m thinking this may indicate a WL. I agree, this process has been heartbreaking. I just keep telling my daughter there’s no rhyme or reason to these decisions. It’s definitely been a rough season.
I hope that is not the case for your D. How do you have log-in credentials for my.sc.edu?

We had to claim the VIP ID. There was an email that was sent last Friday for those who said they would be filing for financial aid.

Unfortunately your admissions counselor is just trying to sugar coat it. If you don’t have the tabs you did not get accepted.

Yes.
This is what my daughter has on both portals. She has a VIP ID, but I am not able to log in to see any admission tab etc, 
Unless you work for the university and/or have a connection that has verified this, I would respectfully caution making statements like this.

Agree - they have “rolling” decisions so it may even be a couple days of changes they are making (yes, I’m trying to think positively).

No.
It may be possible that for the people that have awaiting decision might mean that they haven’t reached a decision yet
