What is it called, or can I have the link? It didn’t come up in my search. Thanks.
@2SonsinLG UAH accepts whatever grade is on the official transcript. They will give you scholarship based on the official transcript grades, weighted or unweighted.
My son is a current Freshman Aerospace Honors student at UAH. We live in Georgia, so he received the OOS merit scholarship for full tuition.
Fun story, we are here for UAH Family Weekend, and hope to see the Space Hardware Club launch of our son’s glider (as well as all the teams that participated). Hoping the rain lets up for a Sunday evening launch.
That’s great! If my high school senior chooses UAH, maybe we’ll meet up. Enjoy your weekend!
[Nevermind. Didn’t see that it had been answered already.]
It will not allow a link. “University of Alabama Huntsville (UAH) Class of 2024” if you search you should find it, it is not a secret group

My son just received is acceptance email yesterday. Does he need to wait for the package in the mail in order to apply to the Honors College? Thanks!
Application for Honors program is a separate application available online (due 3/13/20). Search UAH Honors/apply. It just states that you need to apply for admissions first (since your S already accepted, he is good to go!).
Yes, earlier honors app the better.
Wow, just received our financial aid package for UAH - Thank you UAH!! I am SO excited to go see the college next month and REALLY hope my son likes the program!!
@MusicMomSC - I hope ours is there! I’m really excited to start getting these packages. All our acceptances are in and everything is on hold until we see how the aid works out at every school.
@MusicMomSC - Did your financial letter only show the OOS tuition scholarship or did it show other aid? Thanks
Looks like ours is coming in today’s mail according to Informed Delivery. Unless they lose it like they did his Iowa State scholarship letter.
He received an email to check out his “my.uah” account for his financial aid package. That statement shows which merit award he qualified for and the amount it represented (ours is OOS) broken out by tuition, fees, room & board. It also had fed subsidized loan amount. And there was a comment to provide them info on any outside scholarships. It did not provide a COA broken out. Hope that helps!
The Federal Shopping Sheet is in the UAH portal. On the Financial Aid tab select Federal Shopping Sheet. It contains the COA, Scholarships, grants, loans, etc. for the net costs. We received the letter as well in the mail.
Anybody going to the Puckapalooza event?
We are not, it is too far for us. We are in Texas.
Our son was accepted into the honors college last month. Wondering if best to attend an overnight event or the accepted students event in April for best experience to help him make a final decision. Thinking accepted student event may be best opportunity to meet classmates and potential new roommates but hoping for this decision to be made before that April date. Any input would be appreciated. We live too far to do both, traveling from NJ.
I asked about the accepted students event when we visited in November. Several people told me it was very busy and there was not a lot of time for questions and one on one meetings. We went on a Discovery Day weekend and added a day ahead so we could do all our one on one stuff and meetings and questions with advisors before the event. There were 800 kids there the Discovery Day. They kids did not get to talk a whole lot, it was busy the entire day and people were presenting the entire time. If you go for the accepted students day, I might suggest go a day early so you can really see how a regular day on campus is too and talk to Financial aid, Advising, Honors College, etc.
@HealthCoachAnn Thank you for your insight. We may just go on at a non-event day, get true feel of campus and hope to settle up with admissions!
