Decisions of scholarships will be released by the end of April.

Hey my application says
Your application to UBC (including your supporting documentation, academic transcripts, and personal profile) is currently being reviewed and evaluated in comparison with all the other applicants who have applied to your program. This process can take some time and we greatly appreciate your patience. We will be in touch with you by email should we require additional information. Continue to check back here for the most up-to-date status of your application.

I applied in December and I am studying in india in A levels. I have applied in sauder and I still haven’t received a decision.

Hi!

I’m an international student living in Oman under a SABIS curriculum. I got accepted to the Faculty of Engineering at the Vancouver campus. Here are some of my stats:

SAT: 1510 740 R&W 770 Math
A 90+ avg in all years plus a 96 average in midterms.
AP English Language, Microeconomics and Statistics. 4,4,4
I also am the president of the MUN club at my school and the co-editor of the newsletter at my school, which I incorporated in my essays.

I have also been given the OIS award, a non-renewable sum of 10k CAD.

Hope you guys get the decision you want and good luck!

Your application for admission has been reviewed. Before a decision can be reached, we need to review the complete pool of applications that have been submitted for admission to this program. An update to your application will be available on April 10. You do not need to submit any additional documents at this time.

THATS MY STATUS RN WHAT DOES IT MEAN

I have the exact same status ? I dont know what it means tho

it means waitlist…

what are ur grades

NO IT DOESN’T!!! ALL APPLICANTS WHO HAVE APPLIED FOR BACHELORS OF SCIENCE WILL GET THIS MESSAGE BECAUSE THIS IS HOW UBC’S ADMISSION PROCESS WORKS. DON’T WORRY GUYS NO ONE HAS GOT IN FOR SCIENCE YET.

I EMAILED THEM BUDDY IT MEANS WAITLIST

@TRB777 EMAILED THEM - IT MEANS WAITLIST

How are all science applicants waitlisted right now? No chance. They haven’t sent out any offers for science. Even my friends with excellent grades are waitlisted?

Could you please send me a screenshot of their email. tirth.baldia18@adityabirlaworldacademy.com

They mean that they are still evaluating other science applications. They don’t mean it in a bad way. People with A stars and As are also waitlisted!

@TRB777 we are all friends here I wouldn’t lie to u. Ill send u the text of what she said, but i don’t want to communicate with people except on here.

Susana Baez: This means your application has been put on a waitlist. You will hear back on a decision by April 10 for sure.

Susana Baez: Only those that are on a waitlist will receive this message.

It clearly seems like she is saying here that only people on the waitlist get the message.

She also said that anything can happen in one week, but if ur application was put on waitlist then it’s not really likely it’ll change

I dont know if it really means Im on the waitlist. However, Im hoping it will be an acceptance for all of us ?
Ps: Im an international applicant so I have a different grading system, but since I have only A stars I guess I am in the high 90’s

@Meliber2905 what major/program did u apply for? bachelor of science? what is ur SAT score, etc.

I applied for the bachelor of science. I didnt take the SAT and I must admit I dont have strong extracurriculars. So my hopes to get in aren’t that high eventhough I would love to. At least I have been admitted to uoft with international scholars awards

dont u need to take SAT or ACT if youre an international student?

whats ur GPA or grades

No, canadian universities don’t require Sat and act and its actually the main reason I applied to because we dont have an SAT testing center in my country.
And so our grading system is actually pretty similar to the french one, I have high 17 to mid 18 on 20. And I tried an online gpa converter from 20 to 4.0 scale and I got a 4.0 gpa. However, I dont really know how UBC converts my grades to the BC grading system.
And since English is my third language I had to take the IELTS and only got a 7.5 band. I think this will also affect my admission decision
