@unistressed2020 my application status says “currently being reviewed” but it has been like this for about 6 weeks now. does this mean I’m also waitlisted?
i mean depends on ya stats… mine weren’t too good for engineering but good enough for like arts. IDK does everyone get waitlisted if they don’t get in or people also get rejected?
what were ur stats exactly, and can u copy and paste ur exact status right now?
^^ im not too sure if ppl get automatically waitlisted if they don’t get in, but mine doesn’t specifically say waitlisted either. what does your status say?
it says they couldn’t put me in the choice so my application is now waitlisted. They also said that it depends on how people accept their decision and based on that they’ll accept me
so i got the april 10th status just like you, but i didnt get a final decision yet, does that mean ill be waitlist too
can u copy and paste ur exact status plz
@pofppl honestly your stats look pretty good to me so i think you have a good chance of getting accpeted
Just got admitted under bachelor of science (Vancouver campus). Does anyone know how long international scholarship decisions usually take to get released after admission?
did u get the status:
Your application for admission has been reviewed. Before a decision can be reached, we need to review the complete pool of applications that have been submitted for admission to this program. An update to your application will be available on April 10. You do not need to submit any additional documents at this time.
The status checkpoint confirms the UBC scholarship and is typically sent out at the same time, no staggered launch between applicants
DO U KNOW WHAT THIS STATUS MEANS?:
Your application for admission has been reviewed. Before a decision can be reached, we need to review the complete pool of applications that have been submitted for admission to this program. An update to your application will be available on April 10. You do not need to submit any additional documents at this time.
Oh, I assumed admission & scholarship decisions were released independently based on the description on UBC’s website:
“You will be considered for this scholarship shortly after you receive an offer of admission to UBC. Scholarship decisions are made between mid-March to the end of April each year.”
But thanks!
dude do u know what this status that i have now means for me though:???

No—until admission my status was along the lines of “your application for admission is currently under review…”
Sorry I can’t be sure… but it sounds like what it says…that they’re waiting to complete review of all the remaining applicants to make a final comparison. It might be similar to “waitlist” but not in the traditional sense until May 1 when UBC can see how many more students can be admitted based on # of enrollment but rather until a final comparison can be made (I assume by April 10th). So I don’t think you should worry too much!
did you not get that status before you were admitted?
and also, what are ur grades, SAT score, GPA, etc
I didn’t get that status you mentioned before I was admitted. I’m an IB student outside of US/Canada so I believe we’re evaluated differently… my school doesn’t count GPA but my IB predicted was a 44/45 and my SAT was 1520 (but I don’t recall UBC asking for SAT scores… so I didn’t submit that).
@bostonLZ sorry to bother you but should I be worried that my application status still says “currently being reviewed”? mine doesn’t say I’ll get a response by april 10th
do u know anyone else with my status, am i basically gonna be waitlist
