My status was the exact same as yours until I got admitted so I think it’s just an update they give when the admission committee reaches your file & starts to actually read it (so don’t worry). Once they’re done I assume they’ll either straight up admit you or wait until all other applicants have been reviewed (consequently changing your status to “Your application for admission has been reviewed. Before a decision can be reached, we need to review the complete pool of a…”).
So i guess it’s bad that they didn’t straight up admit, and have to wait to read through everyone’s right?

@sachiye813 . No need to panic, mine says the same status. Based on the admission statuses I got with Okanagan, after the status ‘currently being reviewed and evaluated’ It got updated to admitted.

Guys I just got accepted for Applied Science in the Okanagan campus and I never even put that as my choice. Did that happen to anyone else…?
I also got waitlisted and they said that they will inform me on or before may 30 if there is any vacant spot .

Has anyone gotten this response? I’ve heard it is basically a waitlist but it seems like UBC has so many different types of admission decisions.
“We have evaluated your application and due to the competitive nature of your program, we are not able to offer you admission at this time. We will continue to monitor your competitiveness relative to the rest of the applicant pool and any changes to your application status will be noted here on the UBC Student Service Centre. You do not need to submit any additional documents or transcripts.”

thats not an official waitlist, the official is what i got:
We have evaluated your application and, we are not able to offer you admission at this time. Your application has been placed on a waitlist. UBC considers many factors when evaluating each application - on its own and against other applications we receieve. At this time, we are assessing how many applicants will accept their offers of admission to this program and if any spaces remain. We will have an update for you by email, and here on your Application Status, on or before May 30th.
