My course registration of UBC BSC is tomorrow and I would like some advice regarding my course selection.

These are the prerequisites UBC has asked for.

This is my current first year timetable.

I’m not sure if these course numbers are similar for all schools but I will post descriptions if requested.

How many credits are you allowed/recommended to take in a semester? That just seems like a really heavy courseload…

Well the whole degree is 120 credits so there should be around 30 credits per year…

Bio, chem and physics (3 lab sciences) at the same time? Especially first year? That’s just asking for trouble.

Hey! I’m a UBC 2012, Science student too!! I have the same English 110 class as you, I’ll see you there
I’m probably going to phone UBC Medicine tommorow and ask some of my questions, and see if the pre-reqs on the site you have given are the ones needed. Because you need to declare a major, and that major has pre-reqs in itself. I recommend going to the faculty that you want to major in, such as Physiology (me) and seeing what courses you need and do not need. By the looks of it, I may or may not need Bio 112, because Physio says I need it while UBC MD says the opposite. Anyways, take it easy, and hopefully some of the things I mentioned were of help to you.
