One of my ECs was Project Unify so I’m explaining it, critique me?

Project Unify
My lunch companion in the high school cafeteria is Stanley Stimpson. He is part of the Special Education program at my high school. This friendship was formed because of my involvement with Project Unify and the Partner Club, an organization that fosters a community of acceptance of all people, with and without intellectual and physical disabilities. I am very involved in my high schools chapter. We go shopping for holiday gifts, have movie, bowling, and cooking nights, and attend Leadership and Special Olympics summits and conferences. I thought this club would just be the kids without disabilities helping the kids with intellectual disabilities, but the truth is I have also gained through this relationship. I have learned that intelligence and book smarts are not the most important things about being a human being. Project Unify has been one of the most enlightening, educating, and rewarding programs I have ever participated in. I believe that each and every person has something to give to a situation and possesses their own ideas, no matter if they have an intellectual or physical disability. It is fundamentally important to me to see past a persons outside and take what they have to say to heart, and to treat a person with a disability just like every other person, with respect.
