On the application the major I picked was not a major (Marine Biology) at many of the other UCs (including Berkeley and SD, my second choices). Would it hurt my chances at other UCs if I wrote in the first prompt (your aspirations) about why I would like to pursue a career in the field of Marine Biology?</p>
