On the UC system site it says that applicants must not have a grade below a C. “Earn a grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or better (3.4 if you’re a nonresident) in these courses with no grade lower than a C.” I received a 75 average in algebra 2. Is a 75 considered to be a C or a D?

A 75 is considered a C. I also got a C in Alg II (my first and only C) my sophomore year and retook it anyway, though. The C wasn’t factored into my GPA and only the A from my retake of Alg II was. Just something to think about if you want to earn a higher grade, but it’s not necessary! I partly retook it because I wanted to replace my Piano elective with a different class.
