UC Admissions

When is early acceptance?

The UC system does not have Early or Rolling admissions, in the traditional sense. Some applicants hear from special scholarship programs, apparently, since I saw some posts about this on CC, but most only hear at the end of March. If you are a CA resident, I believe that UC-Riverside has some sort of guaranteed admission program set up for early applicants with good stats. Otherwise, you cannot apply to most UCs for EA/ED, and you should have some other options lined up if you are only applying to the most selective campuses.

Thank you so much!

If you are interested in UCR’s GAP program, here is the link: <a href=“New Students | Apply | Undergraduate Admissions | UC Riverside”>https://vcsaweb.ucr.edu/gap/index.aspx</a>
UCR will also start sending out acceptances at the end of January for High STATS applicants. The rest are in March as stated above.

There is no specific EA or ED program at UCs, although there are some circumstances where an applicant may know his/her admission status earlier than the usual notification in late March. For example:

UCR GAP, as noted above.

UCB Regents’ scholarship candidates are notified early.

Possibly other situations.
