UC Application AP Physics C does not have electromagnetism

Hi, In my high school, AP physics C is a one year course. The first semester is for mechanics, the second semester is for electromagnetism. In UC Application, however, they only have AP Physics C Mechanics. How should I input my grades?

Also, our school has the “Health Education” course, I could not find that in the application too. Should I input that into my application?

Thanks,

@golftlist

Did you already start your UC application? In the UC application, you actually pick from the list of the courses that you have taken at your high school. Why don’t you take a look to see if it’s listed as one class (with Mechanics, Electricity and Magnetism)?

The Health Education is not considered as A-G subject so you can list it under Coursework Other Than A-G if you don’t have anything to put there.

I already started, as I said, UC course list has “AP Physics Mechanics” only. It does not have “AP Physics Electricity and Magnetism” nor “AP Physics Mechanics, Electricity and Magnetism”.

There is also no “Coursework Other Than A-G”, there is a check box said “I do not see my course”…

For Coursework that is non A-G:

Students can list non-“a-g” courses in the appropriate section of the Activities and Awards portion of the application.

For the Physics course, how is it listed on your transcript? How is it listed on your HS’s approved UC courses?

I searched on the page you pointed to me, for my high school, it has “AP Physics C: Mechnaics” only. I noticed that for another highschool in my area, it has “AP Physics C: Mechnaics” and “AP Physics C: Electricity and Magnetism”. What does it mean?

You may want to ask your counselor why the course is missing from the UC application and the ucop.edu web page for your high school.
