<p>what if I were to put down my major in the applicantion, take a couple pre-reqs in other departments and then decide, I want to actually major in that? Can I change it after submission? If so, would it have any bearing on my admission?-- as in admissions officers being turned off by undecided/uncertainty about my major, etc…</p>
<p>I’m applying as Comm to UCLA and Berkeley, but for one Berkeley’s Comm is totally different, and I’d much rather do English, but I am finishing my pre-reqs for Comm this quarter and it isn’t all that bad. Then again Comm has a much harsher acceptance rate, esp for UCLA— and I’m also considering Global Studies, which along with English have much more favorable rates…(not that I’d apply solely according to rates, but I must say that it does make me feel heavy when I think about that 13% Comm rate).</p>
