UC Berekly Essay Question help

Hi, I’m in the process of completing my UC Berkeley application, but then there’s an “Essay” portion of the application…

“All applicants are required to answer the following essay question.
For Berkeley-Haas, there are four principles that, taken together, sharply define us relative to other business schools. As you reflect on these principles (Confidence without Attitude, Question the Status Quo, Students Always, Beyond Yourself) which one do you identify most with? Why?”

Can someone please help me what the question is asking…
I don’t really know what “(Confidence without Attitude, Question the Status Quo, Students Always, Beyond Yourself)” are. Do I just pick one of the principles that relates to me the most? Like I’m not sure what to talk about. sorry if this is a bad question.

1.Confidence w/o attitude: Do you have the qualities of a good leader? Humility/ honesty/ diligence/ commitment?
2.Question the status quo: Status quo refers to the current state of things. Do you strive for/ adapt well to change? Do you go above conformity/ stand out among the crowd (creativity, intelligence, etc)?
3. Student always: Is academics your priority? Do you love/ enjoy learning? What kind of a student are you?
4. Beyond yourself: I’m not sure about this one…but I think it refers to challenging yourself/ thinking creatively.

I hope this helps. The question is basically asking you to pick which one matches you most. You could talk about a real life example where you demonstrated the quality that matches you.

Okay, Thank you so much for answering my question! :D

Why don’t you read the explanation on the website than asking high school students here
