@Sumner My second comment was a joke too. Maybe it sounded better in my head. That happens a lot.
Your response was actually really good, by the way. I was trying to think of something along the lines of what you say, but I couldn’t. Your response was better than my original comment. #fact
@goldencub Nah man, sorry, that’s not good enough. For me, as I was scrolling across the campus, a professor came up to me and offered to make sweet, sweet love on the Memorial Glade, right there and then. It was at that moment that I knew I was accepted into the Bear family.
@goldencub oh my god, it’s a bad sign, the professor trick totally worked. According to my 18 years of common sense education, blank face doesn’t mean happy, not happy means its hardly an acceptance.
I disagree with you for the 4-2-9 thing tho. It’s raining this Friday, which means they are going to be sad and will probably accept less people.
Also, I heard that not everyone will receive a decision on 4/29. Past history indicated that only those who submitted their application to UC Berkeley wil receive a decision. I’m so worried
@goldencub well here is a true story… I went into the Rhetoric presentation class on Cal day and they asked the audience if anyone knew what Rhetoric meant, and I happily answered "The persuasion of Speech?"and the professor said “Great!, Your in!” … does that mean im in?? can I bind that as a verbal agreement??
Oski=4 letters. It’s April, the fourth month of the year.
We have 4/29 so far. 4 divided by 29 is 13.7%, or ~14%. Berkeley is eight letters. But since we used it once its value becomes 1/10 it’s original. This gives us 14+0.8=14.8. 14.8% was the Berkeley acceptance rate for freshman.
Berkeley decisions are a week after UCLA. One week=7 days. Allowed, as in allowed admission= 7 letters. August, the month fall semester starts, is one month before the other UCs start. August= 6 letters. 6+1 month early=7.
I was checking this thread when I ordered an ice coffee. I was gonna say “grande ice coffee”, but the word “Berkeley ice coffee” came out of my mouth lol
-----Edit------
Davis, Irvine, Los Angeles, Riverside, and San Diego have transfer waitlists for select majors and will extend waitlist offers by the end of April, with an opt-in deadline of May 15. Transfer students will be notified of their final status by July 1.
@100789 Easy. Zodiac killer=12 letters. What’s something significant related to 12? The last presidential election was in 2012. Right away we have a correlation with the election cycle. It’s been 4 years since then. 12/4=3. A presidential term is 4 years. So we have 3 and 4.
Ted=3 letters
Cruz=4 letters
Ted Cruz was elected to the senate in 2012. 2012/2012=1. 1.00=100%. 100% chance that Ted Cruz is the zodiac killer.
But no, seriously. In my MAP@Berkeley, one of the periods at the end of sentence looks darker than it did before. Like it is now bold and it wasn’t before. If I could post a picture I’d show a side by side of what it used to look like and what it looks like now. It is definitely darker. Is this good?
I recall it was 5pm last year. I don’t believe it’s rolling, and it’s all at once.
I also heard that if you have a bolded period at the end of the first sentence under “instructions,” you’ll get priority notification. I don’t know if that’s true, just something I heard…or something.
