On the bottom of the MAP status page, “Account Tools” options disappeared recently… shouldn’t mean anything though.
@ibtes96 I can still see my Account Tools on the MAP status page.
I can see mine too
What account tools are you guys talking about?
@LopApo Change email address, change password, withdraw application… On the bottom.
Ohh… I don’t have that option. :-S
Why would anyone withdraw? I don’t understand.
Ya’ll need to stop worrying about the details.
Nope, can’t see the option.
My page has a smiley face on it. The hack must have worked…
Yes, transfers are not required to live on-campus for any semester. That said…it’s highly recommended to apply for on-campus housing for the Fall in case your off-campus options fall through.
Berkeleytime is a lifesaver if your trying to take some of the more in-demand professors (Filippenko, Reich, Kramsch, Searle, Romer [Either one], Keltner [of Inside Out Fame], Selinger) or the popular AC options (ESPM 50, Music 26, History 127[!], etc)
Planning for this Fall is unpredictable though. It’s hard to gauge which classes (outside of the usual suspects) will fill up because the new system incorporates additional variables to the Telebears appointment priority determination.
An advantage this incoming transfer class has is that a lot of discussion sections have yet to be finalized. This means that the transfers with the earliest CalSO days will have the opportunity to avoid some waitlists and “snipe” newly added sections as they are finalized.
@briank82 OMG… the background photo’s color in the MAP@Berkeley portal appeared to be less vibrant than before although it could be my eye’s problem. Does this mean something? D: I’m freaking out!
@Sumner bruh.
@Sumner I was joking … it was a winky face, not a smiley face.
I also got an email from the school a few weeks ago, telling me to fill out a FAFSA. It must mean something…
@briank82 I knew ur joking lol so I decided to follow ur trend
Just a quick question how much does UC Berkeley look at your accumulative GPA as opposed to your UC GPA?
Im a Rhetoric transfer hopeful
They don’t look at non-transferable courses at all if that’s what your asking. Your UC-transferrable GPA is your GPA to them.
If your a UC->CC->UC transfer hopeful then they treat all courses equally.
Im a CSU -> CC -> UC transfer hopeful… ? will they still look into only the UC GPA?
Thanks
Hey everyone, I’m a hopeful applied math major and also a one year transfer. I used my AP Calc BC score of a 5 to satisfy my calc I & II requirements. I got an A on the only math class I took during fall, and I’m completing the last two of the math classes necessary this semester. Do you think the fact that I only have one math grade hurts me? I do have a 4.0, if that makes a difference.
Guys, I heard that all this week, the Campanile has ringed at 4, 2, and 9… And 4/29 is the decision date. Maybe that suggests they will admit more transfers this year.
Side note: I was on campus yesterday, and a professor glanced at me… Do y’all think he recognized me from my application? His expression was this:
Is that a good or a bad sign? It was an extremely ambiguous facial expression - do you think that means I will be rejected? He would have been smiling if I were accepted, right?
Can anybody else comment on the professor trick?
