For those of you who sent the initial view interview, did you get any confirmation that Cal got your interview?
wait guys what exactly is the interview? Never hear of it.
The interview is a paid opportunity (~$200) for international students who attended high school outside of the US.
It’s for international only. More or less, to confirm that they are proficient in english. For a few reasons, one of which cheating was apparently an issue where people paid others to write their essays so they could show how well “their” english is.
Some majors have interviews as well, but the reasons of why specifically are debatable.
Strangely, I’m an international student and attended high school outside the U.S. but did not received a request of interview.

@chaspion323 I did the interview and never received an email confirmation that Cal has received mine… did you receive anything?

I got the email but didn’t do the interview, and I am not an international student. But I did attend high school outside the U.S.
I got the email and didn’t do it either. It’s too costly and I honestly don’t think they have the time to review every single interviews received if any
As for me, I didn’t get any e-mail for interviews, yet, I am an international student from non-English speaking country AND attended high school at my home country. BUT, I did send my TOEFL score, which meets the requirement.
I sent my toefl score too, but still got the email.
