- East Bay area. Will be living off campus. Most likely park my car at a BART station and then commute from there. Idk if that'll work but it's just too expensive to get an apartment/housing over at Berkeley. Sigh :(
I’m really hoping I get regents at cal! Anyone know past stats of students that got it
@forshevchenko I just turned 25, Korean-Canadian and planning to live off campus as well. I’ll give you a shout out if I get in
I’ll be living in Napa. That commute is gonna be laaaaame.
@TransferJ I have only heard of one student getting regents as a transfer. Abandon all hope.
@paninichan Ive taken the bart from the concord/walnut creek area to Cal before, it is totally doable albeit a bit pricey
The bart station from Cal is not even 20 feet
This time next year, we’ll all know if we got in or not! Can you believe it!?
@MikeSauce It’ll have to do. It’s probably going to be $8 round trip for me everyday but if I add it up it’s still not as bad as paying $12k+ for housing/year. Not to mention I like my privacy.
word
less than two days now…
Thank god for the Warriors game tonight… it will take off 4 hours of anxiety haha
^^ Or add to it, if they do terrible?
@briank82 Do they ever do terrible?
Oh Gawd…I’m twice the age of all of you !!! But so excited
Umm one question guys…what is regents? I keep seeing that word but I have no idea and at this point, I’m embarrassed to ask.

Basically means youre the Captain America of transfer students
Regents is basically like a unicorn; you may as well view it as something that doesn’t exist. But here’s a little information from the official source:

I will stock up on my supply of chocolate for this Friday.
This week has been the slowest week…
@MikeSauce @Cheolf Thank you for the information.
Now I’m sad I’m not a regent.
