@microt Yeah, it’s pretty scary honestly. a 3.30 at berkeley is nowhere near easy. It’d be tough choosing between LA and Berkeley at that point for me because of that GPA requirement at Cal

I do know I’ll need to declare CS if I ever get in but what about GPA requirement? Do you mean GPA from CC or GPA after you get in? And what’s the GPA requirement?

man if you get into UCLA it’s very likely that you get into Cal too…stop worrying lol

Not so much saying that, saying that I if by some chance I got in, there’s a whole nother hurdle to jump by getting at least a 3.3 in prereq classes to actually be able to declare CS

Can’t believe it comes down to this. Ten years ago I heard about UC Berkeley being the best UC and I made up my mind there. It looked to be a lock in 7th grade when I met Arnold Swartewhatever on a GATE field trip. Then In 8th grade life just ended up taking me in a different direction. I could have so easily been in a different place. I was homeless, I was in the hospital, I can’t believe I got so lucky. Tomorrow I see if that 11 year old boy with infinite potential was able to make his dreams come true.

Hardly something to worry about later if you’re set on CS. imo it’s a dealbreaker.
