Under the conditions of admission page, UCB has this as one of their terms:
"I will complete all UC-transferable courses in Winter and/or Spring 2016 terms with a 3.0 or higher GPA and no grade lower than a C. "
I’m an engineering major. Does this apply to me? I ask because in previous years engineering applicants were required to maintain a 3.0 or higher and no grades lower than a B.
Is there a Cal day for transfers? I can’t really find any info anywhere.
I am going to the Bruin day and transfer decision day at Davis. Is there anything like that at Cal or do they just expect us to come and visit anytime? I really want to check out the housing and the engineering department!
I went to Cal day even though I didn’t know I was admitted yet. There was an event for transfers but it was directed at people applying for next year! Hoping they have something specific for transfers.
I think if you want a dorm its on campus, but the apartment options are considered off campus for financial aid purposes even though they are run by the school.

I applied to UCB last year and did not get accepted. At the time, I had no friends or family to call to cry too… I called my therapist and cried for over an hour… And then, I decided to try again, to enjoy my time at my community college, and to get involved in student life. This year, I have grown to love my community college so much that I wish I could have stayed another year! I am able to help my fellow peers as well as educate the staff and professor about LGBTQIA+ issues. My motto is: Never give up! I persist towards my goals despite adversity’s grim face. Berkeley offered the best financial aid package of all the schools and gave me several scholarships. I have already submitted my SIR. I may need to take off time from school since I, and my partner, have several big surgeries coming up but the best is still ahead of us all and I wish you all the best in your endeavors.
P.S. I have been going to the site for the last several years and have obtained much hope from it. I believe this is my first post!
Did anyone else get offered and apply to the Fly to Berkeley transfer welcome weekend? Just curious… I just submitted and think it is a pretty awesome opportunity. In your CalCentral make sure you check out the admissions notifications on the right side. There are some welcoming events you can sign up on! Congrats to those who were admitted!
My question seemed to get passed by the first time so I’ll ask again.
Did anyone else get asked to fill out a college student verification form? Basically it asked me to list who in my household will be attending college at least half-time for financial aid purposes.
When is the actual date SIR's are due? I am seeing both May 2nd and June 1st listed and while I'm positive that I want to go...
3.Does anyone know if Cal is lenient when it comes to deferring? I am being offered an internship through the State Department this fall and its directly related to my major and I don’t want to turn it down. But my admission is obviously more important…
Also, will I lose blue and gold if I do that?
