Great ECs and awesome LORs.
Anyone know what to write about for the personal statement ?

Was wondering about that also. Does anyone also know if decisions are made based on the time you opt-in for waitlist? For example if you click opt-in for waitlist right before the deadline, compared to opting in for waitlist now… will that affect your chances?

I feel like i’m so underqualified. I don’t know how I got waitlisted.

The Wait List FAQ says this: (https://apply.berkeley.edu/apply/update?id=fc6fe77f-037b-4a82-a795-e8af4e37eaa3)

Q: What is the wait list Essay?
A: Students who choose to opt-in to the wait list may choose to complete this optional written statement. While this is not a requirement, the essay may serve to provide further information to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions at Berkeley.

Waitlisted for intending a major in social sciences
Idk how to write the essay either.
Maybe address why you want to go to Berkeley and how you think you will add to the community?

yeah I feel like writing an essay might help, but on the other hand, if you end up writing a crap or normal essay, I feel like it might just worsen your application. Anyone actually planning to write one?
