@1989swiftie I see it now. It lets me download the pdf of my waitlist form. I’m an out of state biology major.
I’m really tempted to call admissions but I sat on hold for 35 minutes already today 
@1989swiftie I never got an email from berkeley telling me that they have accepted all the waitlisted students they could like the image the other guy posted, two pages back. I’ve checked my spam, trash and everything and the last berkeley email i received was a confirmation email from april 19th for the waitlist.
I think that person independently emailed them and received a response. @TheBeanMachine

@TheBeanMachine I wouldn’t give up until they officially say so. All these admissions people have had different answers. And the email didn’t say they were done sending them, it just said they had sent some.
So has ANYBODY at all on this thread NOT gotten the PDF?

To those not accepted: you are more important than the school you go to; while life may be so much easier and better if you were to go to Cal, I trust that you’ll cope well–if not better–elsewhere. One day, I trust that you’ll make Cal regret its decisions.
@Aovnick It’s just so difficult to look away from. I’m committed to a school I really don’t even like right now and got stuck with for various reasons. Berkeley was my dream school and I finally put my foot down to say that I would go there because it would make me the happiest. I thought that I had a legit chance at going there but it seems I wasn’t good enough
if that’s the case, then why don’t they just send out rejection letters today? why do they have to wait until june 1st?
@1989swiftie Sometimes life just doesn’t give us what we want because it’s a challenge for us to push even harder.
I’ll be going to a entire different continent now (UK), and I won’t be able to consider the transfer pathway. Personally I think this is fate’s way of telling me that US is not for me. However, this’ll definitely not stop me from applying postgrad.
Going to another country would mean that I’ve wasted all my time doing SATs, SATII, TOEFL and of course all of the essays; but I’ll just let that sink in. Life goes on.
Also, it was explicitly stated that the waitlist was not based upon your ability, but based upon space limitations, so don’t feel bad. Think of it this way, if we have the right to apply to safety schools, schools also have the right to waitlist safety students.
I wish you good luck on where you will be this fall, and I sincerely hope that two years later I’ll be able to see you share your joy when you get accepted to transfer to Cal.
@katiemiller there will be CS opening up in 6 days time due to some people Rejecting the offer
At this point I doubt they would make offers even to CS. They clearly stated that offers won’t be made so they would take into consideration all the majors before saying that. As hard as it is, we just have to deal with it and move on I guess 
wow it’s kinda a jerky move to wait till june to reject us…
I believe that when we lose the opportunity to go to cal, we open our doors to new opportunities that are equally as good as going to cal if not better! We should get excited for college! Anyway what college are you guys going? Im going to U of I and i hope i can survive the winter there lol
