bizarre.
My D got accepted. She was waitlisted in UCSD, UC davis, UCSC, UCSB, Rejected from UCLA and UCI. Accepted in Merced and Riverside,CSUs ( Cal poly slo, SDSU, long beach, Eastbay, San jose state). This waitlist was killing both of us. I would prefer Acceptance or RejectionâŠnot waitlist or sure. I can understand how kids will go through this waitlist part.

Many good choices. Most likely will choose SLO because of the undergraduate focus, location, etc.

Essays were decent, though could be better. My best one was how I talked about the sacrifice my parents made to bring me to America when I was six and how I wish to honor their sacrifice.
Lots of ECs and APs (10 AP Classes including this year and 6 AP tests taken)
~ECâs included 80+ hours volunteering in animal shelter, tutoring aid, 3 years of club officer positions, etc.
Lots of honors as well.
Edit: If youâre wondering about addresses, I only had two addresses in my portal the entire time
I canât believe this! I was very reluctant to apply at first because I thought I wouldnât make it in, especially after being waitlisted at UCLA and rejected from Rice, I had almost no hope. Congrats to everyone who got in and I wish everyone who was waitlisted and rejected the best for the future!
My S was accepted! Architecture. 4.19 UC GPA, 1460 SAT. 790 Math subject test. Very good essays. No sports. Not in top 10% of class. No hooks, but excellent depth in photography/art. Also accepted at USC, UCD, USSC, Caly Poly SLO. Waitlisted at UCSB, UCI and UCSD. Rejected at UCLA, Rice, Northwestern. Waiting on Georgetown. Good luck to all!
