Also this method existed last year, and people found that only those who had forbidden could log in to campus solutions, and only those who had not authorized couldn’t log in. I think we gotta chill out a bit lol.
have yall seen tineocollegepreps vid? Apparently some borderline applicants get the ID, but get last minute rejected to hit quotas.
many think he is just saying that to cover his bases per se. make sure he doesnt promise anything

he has no idea
but just the fact that Brandon is admitting that its accurate despite his biased view point towards portal astrology confirms everything.
He’s just saying that to protect his reputation as people who had a previous affiliation with berkeley may already have an ID prior to them applying and they may get rejected/WL. He knows that the ID is likely conclusive of an acceptance.

uc berkeley 2024 portal astrology guide - Google Docs First method on this document.
he covered that too, he mentioned specifically that there are a very small amount of people who weren’t previously affiliated with berk who didn’t get in. It makes sense, there are always going to be last minute decisions.
Thank you for the reassurance, I seriously need to stop thinking about this and just go do my work
likely last minute acceptances. i dont think they would give out a unique ID and take it away
same I got homework I shouldn’t be procrastinating :).
Saw the video too, maybe it’s a DD thing? (e.g. SciencePo notoriously gives CalNet IDs before acceptances…)
He’s just an influencer on the internet preparing for the worst outcome. He needs some sort of protection so he’s making up that their will be last minute decisions even though all of the decisions are already uploaded and the committee has decided outcomes weeks before.
what do u mean “notoriously”, where is there evidence of this? Does this also apply to Hong Kong DD
It happened last year to a student who applied DD. They had an ID and got waitlisted they were the only applicant like this.
“Notoriously” was definitely the wrong word to use there, but I’m pretty sure that those programs require a CalNet ID because you have to do specific application stuff via the portal, which is why that guy probably had an ID and which is what Brandon MAY be talking about
I dont even know why im still here reading this when ik im gonna eat the rejection on thursday lol
