Did the “withdrawn page” in the UCB Application Portal just changed?
It was originally just “ I am no longer interested in attending UC Berkeley and wish to withdraw my application.” But now it says (Somehow there are more buttons now):
Decision
I am no longer interested in attending UC Berkeley and wish to withdraw my application.
Please indicate your top reason for withdrawing your application
Attending school elsewhere
Admitted Early Decision to another institution
Affordability
Other
Once this request to withdraw is submitted, your application will be canceled and withdrawn from any further consideration. This action cannot be reversed should you change your mind. Please type the word “CONFIRM” in the text box below to indicate you understand this statement and are withdrawing your application.
Same for my daughter last year. I definitely knew several days before she received the decision. I am not sure I believed it could be true at the time, but she is now a very happy freshman at Cal.
Mine chose Cal too and is thriving. He was 99% going to go somewhere else until the Cal acceptance came in and we took a hard left after that. Crazy times. It wasn’t even on the radar!
Same with my D24. Was looking at other options but could not pass on Berkeley (price, program, location). She likes the school and college is what she has expected, but does feel that this semester is challenging.
GO TO apply.berkeley.edu/portal/admitted-student IF IT SAYS ACCESS DENIED YOU GOT REJECTED. IF IT SAYS NOT AUTHORIZED YOU GOT WAITLISTED. IF IT SHOWS REFUSED YOU GOT IN!!! WORKING METHOD AS OF 2025 , MARCH 12 * UNPATCHED METHOD *
currently in at kenyon urichmond and smu with merit from all and so those are the ones Im considering but I’m still waiting on all my uc’s and reaches pretty much. ucla ucsb notre dame bc and washu are some of my top choices. how about u?
Thank you, but I believe that all Congratulations should wait until the official decisions are posted and confirmed. Even though the Portal Astrology has worked in the past, does not mean it will be accurate this year.
Thank you for your understanding and best of luck to all.
