ucb is just one college. from your stats, you seem extremely capable. no matter where you end up, I’m sure you’ll be able to make the most of it. especially recently, the college you attend has far less of an impact than the work you do. you could still get into berkeley and that’d be amazing, but even if you don’t get in, you still have amazing achievements—one college decision doesn’t take that away

I feel you bro. feels like all of the hard work and things I’ve done were all for nothing. the best college i got into was ucsd (its a great school dont get me wrong) but i really thought i had a great chance at ucla and berkeley. waitlist from ucla and acc not created for berkeley. i’m mentally prepared for a waitlist or rejection but im still disappointed

Berkeley is just one option, it does not define your future. You have an incredibly strong profile. There are so many amazing colleges out there.

Think of it this way, you’re still lucky to have UCSD. I have a great GPA, intl awards and consistent ECs over 4 years and was waitlisted/rejected everywhere I applied to so far.

Tek_Tek, you sound like an astoundingly accomplished student and UCB would be lucky to have you. Whichever of the schools that “loves you back” you end up attending, you’ll shine. It sounds like your ambitions go way beyond an undergrad degree, and if you continue to have the drive and passion you’ve shown so far, your grad school options will be legion. UCB admissions are beyond unpredictable and have no bearing on your worth.

I WOULD KILL TO GET INTO UCSD I HAVE BEEN WAITLISTED FROM UCSD. I am so incredibly angry. I need to log off this forum and touch some grass. 
Can Berkeley decide to take away your ID and let someone else in if they think they are more qualified?
go to https://bcsweb.is.berkeley.edu/, click “log into campus solutions,” then click login with MAP@Berkeley. Use your portal username and password to login. Then, if you are presented with a message that’s something like “Your account hasn’t been created,” it’s a likely indicator of rejection. If you are instead able to login and see you name with an ID in the top right (If you are on mobile, go into landscape), then its an indicator of acceptance.

I took summer class and I can see my ID and other info similar to student page. Can someone tell me how I would know if I got it or not based on that? There is a theory of if you see Alumni page vs. student page and how it got converted from Alumni to student page for admitted students. Is that correct? Can someone from experience opine on that?
What message do you guys get if you guys press withdraw? Do you guys have a “button” to click? lmk if what you get + if you have id or not
