data should show relatively strong all around stats, because berk is very very holistic
I think the strength of portfolio question isn’t completely accurate, as it doesn’t mention internships, research, and impactful club leadership positions.
Just try to average out all of those into your rating

I think if the GPA pie resembles the average admitted student data for UC Berkeley, we should be relatively confident that the ID is an indicator
Oddly enough I knew someone in this exact situation, and the astrology paid off and he got in to Berkeley! His haters ended up going to lower tier colleges or community college (not that that’s necessarily a bad thing for them, though).

This is definitely fake. TWO OF MY FRIENDS with a 3.7-3.8 UW have the ID for EECS and one has it for ■■■■■■■ mech e with a 3.75. None of them are cracked and have average ECs. My school’s cracked ISEF winner has no ID.

True, but if the pie chart is even better than the CDS data, it’s fair to assume that the ID holds true, as if the IDs were less of an indicator the spread would be much lower than you would think.
According to UC Berkeley’s 2023-2024 CDS, 51.5% of admitted students had a reported GPA of 3.75 - 3.99.
It’s not necessarily too far fetched

It’s EECS though. Harder than getting into Berkeley.
Berkeley in general has surprises. I know someone that got rejected/waitlisted every UC except Davis and got Berkeley EECS at the end.
that winner is truly unlucky then.
It’s crazy that cracked kids are getting rejected from my school but got great schools outside but then cheaters copping this
