everyone who doesn’t have an ID, remmeber that this is not confimred yet and to still have some hope. Remember rejection is redirection and wheverer you go you will do amazing. Just do the best with what you have , work hard, and you all will do amazing!

For all future readers:
Whether you get not authorized or not on that form, it doesn’t really mean anything. The telltale signs are of course that unique Berkeley ID that was created only for ACCEPTED applicants.
I’m typing this out so that this doesn’t snowball into another crazy conversation with a lot of people worrying. Also this does not indicate any sort of waitlisting (that was just postulation).
Again as it has been for the last 6+ years
ID == accepted
No ID == unfortunately waitlisted/rejection

i do. i have the student view page. does this mean anything?
Are you able to still login, it says planned maintenance but u can still login and see my my info. Some people cant some can wondering if this means anything if the system is supposed to be down?
Is not having an ID the same thing as not having your account created? or is it different?

Are u referring to Calcentral? If so, did u do Summer Sessions at Berkely? If latter is also true, do u see an alumni or regular homepage on CalCentral?
did you get off the waitlist? if not, what happened to your id ?
edit : The person that he was referring to replied on the Berkeley dual program thread. Im guessing he/she did participate in some kind of program? Thoughts?

That’s sad. So even having an ID doesn’t guarantee an acceptance… 
For everyone asking @AstroGuru he was referring to a post from last year not themselves. The person who posted said in their previous posts that they had no prior affiliation.
Hopefully we aren’t the ones who are waitlisted.

Based on the data that we found so far at least for this year. the ID’s data was given by the registrar. So it seems to coorelate to an acceptance. Obviously we can’t know for sure, but again berkeley doesn’t make IDs for waitlisted applicants. They simply wouldn’t it’s not in their best interests.
But at least know that having your Berkeley ID is a really really really good sign lmao

That same person also had a previous post talking about receiving an interview with the Berkeley dual degree program. It seems like they did have some prior connection with Cal after all, maybe they made an ID for them preemptively and they assumed that it meant they were in?

i applied to berkeley haas GMP and have an id. But I also have the fall semester thing. Does that mean I was rejected from GMP but admitted LSA?
You might be right! The Berkeley dual degree program goes through two rounds of evaluation (I know this because they came to my school to talk about it), one to determine their acceptance to Berkeley as a school and one to determine whether they are accepted to the program itself. Maybe as Berkeley evaluated those who applied for the dual degree program they made an account for them in the process… Just maybe…

Same! I see an ID but then again, I applied for UC Science Po and never ended up submitting my application. I’m not sure if it means I was accepted or if it is just an old ID for when I was applying. How can I check to make sure?
I just hope astrology works :). I guess we just have to wait until Thursday!
