UC Berkeley Chance me

Hey guys i am currently a sophomore and will be applying for transfer this fall as of now i only have gotten one B+ in a non pre req. I am going to be applying for Economics and my current gpa is like 3.88 (because of that one B+).

I am take a rigorous course load this fall and was wondering if i for some reason get a B in like a calc class, should i basically consider my chances close to zero? I am really worried because calc is like raping me on the curve especially please chance meeee

no you will be fine with a B

does it appear as a B+ on ur transcript? I think your gpa of 3.88 has a fair enough chance to get into the school. Anything 3.7< x.xx has a good chance

Yea It is a b+ on my transcript. Im just afraid of the possibility of getting a SECOND B killing my chances, since i know i will have to report fall grades to the colleges

For USC my sister goes there…so legacy??

^ You’d want to post that in a thread for freshman applicants.

wait so about the second potential B, should this worry me?

Of course it should. Any deviation from a 4.0 should worry you. Is it a make or break? Probably not. If you get the B should you still apply? Sure.

I saw in another thread you mentioned you’re trying to get into Haas? If you were going into any major other than like mechanical engineering or business, you’d be good w/ another b. But I can’t say anything for Haas.

That is pretty good for Cal dude, don’t worry, just concentrate how you can put yourself outside of the crowd.

you’ll be for sure! Nice job.

I’m weighing my chances for both haas and Econ. I just dont wanna end up wasting another year. I just re calculated my gpa adding summer classes I actually have 3.92  yay!

you’ll be in ba, just calm down! :)

so dedicated.
