I’ve received that email 3 times, and I applied for that scholarship months ago.
same i have gotten that email a bunch as well
Mini rant:
Idk why I’m freaking out more than ever about getting accepted to colleges. I am worrying about the most minute details and worry whether the officers will see my app and see what I really want them to see and put the pieces together on some things that may have not been explicitly stated.
Anxiety: Level 1000
A month from today until we hear from Berkeley. Hang in there.
I got accepted to Berkeley on the 12th and am an oos. I still haven’t gotten anything related to a regents scholarship. Does that mean I will not be getting one?
@gshreyash19999 Some students were admitted early without being invited to apply for the Regents scholarship. Considering how much time had passed since decisions were released, I’d assume you’re one of those applicants. Still, congrats on your acceptance!
@Kasami Would I still have the possibility of getting this scholarship though? Thank you very much!
@gshreyash19999 No, I believe the scholarship is only offered to entering undergrads and considering you did not receive a notification on the release date I’m afraid you are not eligible. Here’s a link to info about it if you want to know more:

I got the scholarship email too
I mean yeah clearly decisions have been made. To select the top 2% get in early they have to look at the other 98%. It think now they’re waiting to release on UC schedule (LA needs a lot of time), and their staff has grown quite a bit. So, we’ll see. Just be patient <3 I’m sure we’ll get in if it’s meant to beeeeeerkeley <3
On the UC Admissions site it says decisions start on March 1.

@mysonsdad I think that’s for all the UCs - IIRC some of them release acceptances over a period of time.
@berkeleybetch it could also be something like how colleges with early programs select who gets accepted and who gets deferred - they do a quick read-through to find the top 2%, then revisit the other 98% to see who’s good enough to be in the top 20%
I got accepted early into Berkeley but my heart is set on UCLA. Unfortunately I got a supplemental information request from UCLA so i’m probably going to be rejected.
@mysonsdad for Cal we wait until the bitter end: http://admissions.berkeley.edu/datesdeadlines
Hi guys, I was wondering if you think I have a chance at UC Berkeley.
I’m a student from the UK (US citizen).
SAT score: 2250
Subject tests: 800 Math 2 730 Spanish
I have straight As in school. I play a lot of sports and I’m very musical.
I’m not sure how being an international student will affect my chances of admission.
Yeah right, I’ve never seen so much stress lol… I don’t think kids can start enjoying senior year until after decisions have come out and all scholarships applications are done.
@CollegeDropoutt, yes you have a chance, but that’s not saying much
@smartypants57 That’s also plausible, as I know a few schools that do that. But, I know Berkeley is very stringent about admissions and meeting admissions requirements. It’s very difficult for them to choose between people, so I think that Berkeley, in particular, has reviewed all applications very closely because it really doesn’t have room to make mistakes.
and to @ronburg11 CONGRATS! Either will be an amazing choice. Hope you get UCLA, too!
does anyone know when the deadline is for rec letters for regents/chancellors??
Did anyone else get an email telling them that March 24th is the release date? I tried googling it and I couldn’t find anything of substance concerning an actually date beyond “end of March”
