Hey guys! I’m having a bit of a trouble here on finding how much I’m supposed to pay for 2018-2019…where am I supposed to go after I enter the application portal? Is it not up yet? I know the admission website has like the estimate of my one year tuition + other expenses, but I was wondering if there’s one in my account (cuz everyone’s situation is different). Although I lived in US for almost 10 years I’m still considered as an international student due to visa problems; maybe that’s why I can’t find one, cuz international students don’t get financial aid?
Registered today for the Overnight stay Program on 4/8 to 4/9…there is another one after Cal day as well. There is already a waitlist to get in to stay in a dorm for both events, but availability if you stayed offsite.

You don’t apply Haas itself until your sophomore year. Freshmen year is dedicated towards doing prerequisites in L&S and trying to make a good application. Haas is competitive to get into, even for UC Berkeley students, so people usually have a back-up major in mind as well going forward.
@Scarsinstars I think the admitted student tours would be a bit more personal and that’s the way to go. The regular tours go to a few of the main buildings and they talk about the history of things and that’s it. To me, I would have wanted to go inside and see the classrooms, which the regular tour doesn’t do, at least they didn’t do that for us.

The visitors center link lists admitted students tours as being daily at 11:30am, leaving from the Vistor’s Center.

Is anyone else having trouble creating their CalNet ID? If you are successful, can you please share the steps (in detail). Thank you!
@WantInternship hi again! I was having trouble as well but was able to set it up a few hours ago. You should see a link on calcentral saying you should create your CalNet account… click the link and it should take you to a place that tells you to input your ID and paraphrase. What worked for me is scrolling down until you see “log in with iMap” and it should allow you to create your account name and set your passphrase… hope this helped!

@chocolatelover22 All L&S students enter “undeclared” despite indicating their preferred major on the application. Students in other colleges at Berkeley are admitted directly into their major and enter the school declared, however, L&S prefers to allow students to explore/has capped certain majors and thus you are accepted into the college but not a specific degree program. You can declare as soon as you complete the prereqs for your major (normally during your 2nd year).
IDK if this is still a thing but Regents and Chancellor’s Scholars didn’t have to submit a deposit with their SIR last year.
@hbrunner - seriously? That’s great! Any way to verify that info (I mean before we SIR)?
Does anyone know how to create a CalNet account. I log onto MAP, then look at to-to , then on my to-do list it says to create a CalNet. I click the link, it leads me to the login. Then, I try and click “log in with MAP” and it says I do not have access. How do I creste an account?
