My S has 4 addresses on his portal this morning…only 2 yesterday? Anyone else ? I know this was touched upon yesterday…
@byebyebaby She turned down her top choice UC, to which she was accepted, to go to Berkeley. However now she realizes Berkeley wasn’t the right fit for her.
I sincerely hope all of you who say Berkeley is your top choice have visited the school. Being the top public university in the US means it is an excellent school, but it doesn’t mean it’s the right fit for YOU.
Like I said, my oldest was accepted to UCB and chose to go elsewhere. It was a very difficult choice for her – the day she submitted her SIR to the other school, she cried. But she doesn’t regret her decision at all.
UCB, like every other college, is perfect for some, not so much for others.
Awaiting this decision from Berkeley for my youngest, and still, I’m not sure it’s the right school for her. On that slight chance she is accepted, we’ll have to go check it out again.
@knowledgeispower18 mine has 3 addresses rn, while there were only 2 when I checked about 9 hrs ago. hope this is a good sign as a few people has mentioned!!

All of you need to chill and just wait for the result to come out. Whether you can get into calcentral or not, and if you can what you see is irrelevant and will only drive you crazy. Whether you received the email or not is likewise irrelevant to whether you get in or not.
So, step away from the keyboard, clear your mind, and come back when Cal has posted results.

@berkeley101 log onto map @ berkeley and look at the side panel
ok guys. i just went on https://calcentral.berkeley.edu/
- Then i clicked sign in
- Clicked sign in with Map@Berkeley
- then it redirected me to a page saying "this ID is to set up Cal Account" and there was a button that said "set up Cal account"
- I clicked on it and then it said page forbidden.
a. is anyone else facing the same thing?
b. is this a good or bad sign??

I think it would be healthy to not obsess over the Calcentral thing or how many addresses everyone has because it’s just stressful and confusing. Do what you like but we only have two days left and I think since we all have this thread we should be more positive and supportive of each other rather than trying to find ways to maybe see if we are accepted early which may not even be legit or real for every applicant
