absolutely no kidding. But Berkeley EECS is a huge cut above ucla cs even though ucla cs is a stellar program.
FYI: This is the general trend at most schools now.
Programming assignments have strict checks for AI usage and sometimes there are oral presentations/review for projects. Math skills are a different topic.
Finals are in-person and a bigger percentage of the overall grade.
Reading comprehension seems to be another issue. But I agree that none of this is limited to Berkeley… these trends are affecting most schools.
