Does anyone know the hardest colleges to get into in Berkeley?
If you could include the college name (e.g. Letters and Sciences) and give the acceptance rate, that would be great:)
I don’t think there’s exact numbers, but the hardest colleges (and three most prominent) should be: CoE, L&S, and CoC.
Interestingly, UC now has more transparency in different admission selectivity by division or major for transfer admission than frosh admission. In the following table, you can compare transfer admission selectivity by major at a given UC campus. While the transfer GPA ranges cannot be used to predict frosh GPA ranges, they can give some idea of the relative level of impaction for various majors and divisions. Of course, you have to remember that there are some differences, like all frosh applicants to UCB L&S are applying for undeclared, rather than for specific majors (transfers to UCB L&S are also admitted undeclared, but their intended majors are considered, presumably in context with their prior college course work).
